On 18 January 2011, the Esperanto language Wikipedia has reached the milestone of 140,000 articles a few days after the tenth anniversary of the encyclopedia was born through a non-profit U.S., the Wikimedia Foundation. Today Vikipedio (Wikipedia in Esperanto) is part of the 26-th highest number of entries and the 38-th for visits. The Wikipedia has published more than 270 different languages \u200b\u200b(including about 180 active) and relies on the contributions, financial and intellectual, of their users, that record new entries and improve existing ones. Just a group of them is playing the idea of \u200b\u200bcreating a version of the encyclopedia in Esperanto and the project, implemented in 2001. has gradually increased consistency. In 2003 entries were already in Esperanto 10000, number expected to increase fivefold in three years later.
